Agricultural holding A.G.R. Group, whose owner is Misak Khidiryan, has launched the 2022 harvesting campaign.
Despite the difficulties experienced by our country and the agricultural sector in particular, as well as this year's extremely unfavorable weather conditions, A.G.R. Group entered the active phase of harvesting.
The "Brovary" and "Lohvytsia" clusters were the first to start.
At the "Brovary" cluster, the management agreed to launch the harvesting campaign, despite the moisture of the crop, as the priority was to harvest and prepare the soil for sowing in 2023. Desiccation was carried out here at the beginning of September, but the weather made adjustments - due to constant rains, harvesting of sunflowers and soybeans began on the 10th of October. However, thanks to the timely desiccation, the quality of the sunflower was not greatly affected by heavy rainfall and overmoistened soil.
In Poltava region, the weather also changed the timing of harvesting. "Hrebinka" started with soy on the 10th of October, and will switch to corn at the end of October. The "Lohvytsia" cluster planned to harvest sunflowers from 12.09 to 25.09, but due to weather conditions, sunflower threshing began only on 07.10. A large accumulation of moisture in the basket itself is a big loss, so we had to wait. The delay in threshing entails both late soil preparation and late start of corn threshing – it will begin in the third decade of October. The same is true of soybeans – in Lohvytsa they planned to collect them from 15.09 to 10.10, and they started on 9.10.
The «Sumy» cluster started harvesting sunflowers a week ago – on October 15. A similar situation has developed in Chernihiv region - buckwheat and sunflower are currently being harvested there, which was supposed to end by September 20. But even here, the rainy weather affected the harvest period and significantly delayed the finish of the campaign.
Currently, 33 combines are being used for harvesting. Yield data and results of A.G.R. Group will provide upon completion of the collection campaign.
