Agrarian holding A.G.R. Group began sowing

This season at A.G.R. Group plans to plant corn and soybeans throughout the entire land area. The same structure of acreage was observed last year.

At the moment, the planned sowing area of corn is 20,838, 60 hectares, in all clusters of the company. A. G. R. Group sows maize for grain as well as for silage and cornage. The number of units involved in the entire area is 11 units. Already at the end of April A. G. R. Group plans to start sowing soybeans.

“Our main problem is changing climatic conditions. During the year, the soil did not receive enough moisture, now there are constant temperature drops, strong winds, frosts at night. Analysts are already predicting a decrease in yield by 20%, ”says Sergey Khablak, head of the department for implementation and monitoring of technologies in crop production.

The sowing campaign was under threat, but the A. G. R. Group decided not to wait until the moisture level in the soil decreased.

“We started the sowing campaign according to our plan. Of course, there was a certain risk of starting sowing exactly at this time, but we could also lose the moisture that was in the soil. Therefore, we decided not to delay the start of the sowing work, ”the chief agronomist A.G.R. comments on the start of sowing work. Group Alexander Arakelyan.

For the sowing campaign, the A. G. R. Group already uses recently acquired equipment, in particular the new Kinze 3600 ASD Interplant with electric motors, as well as 9 John Deere R8345 tractors, 3 Case IH True-Tandem 335 VT disc harrows and others. Also in the new season, the agricultural holding uses precision driving technologies, which provide high-quality field work in any visibility (night, fog, etc.), a sharp decrease in the percentage of overseeding and double treatment of plant protection products. Analysts A.G.R. Group reports that the introduction of modern technologies will have a positive effect on yields.
