A.G.R. Group develops a fertilizer strategy to address unstable weather conditions

On December 17 – 20, representatives of the A.G.R. Group – Head of the Technology Implementation and Monitoring Department, Sergiy Khablak and Chief Agronomist Alexander Arakelyan, participated in the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Exact Soil Science and Zoning Management of Fields". The company’s experts attended the conference within the framework of work on the implementation of a long-term fertilizer strategy which considers unstable weather conditions.

Area of agricultural land occupied by A.G.R. Group makes up 28.8 thousand hectares in different regions of the country. Therefore, one of the priority areas of the holding's activity is to work on improving and preserving soil fertility.

Representatives of the A.G.R. Group addressed the following issues at the conference:

- Methods of influence on fertility;

- Balancing of micro and macro elements;

- Biological component;

- Soil health;

- Field zoning and monitoring of changes in their potential.

“The conditions we are working in today require us to have modern solutions and approaches, using modern technologies. We are testing the latest agricultural machinery to preserve and increase yields, and are working on developing a new generation fertilizer strategy. The volatile weather we have been seeing for the past few years signals to us that old approaches will not prove effective in the future. We need a new, strategic vision of fertilizer application and dosage changes, considering adverse weather conditions by year, field zonation and soil type” – commented Sergey Khablak, Head of the technology implementation and monitoring Department.

We remind that the specialists of the A.G.R. Group have recently tested new agricultural machinery that will help increase yields by up to 15% in adverse weather conditions.
